Juliana Duryea (B.S., University of Vermont) is an environmental analyst, outdoor educator and wildlife biologist. Juliana has been teaching surf and ocean swimming lessons and working as an Ocean Lifeguard since 2003 and is a member of East Hampton’s Volunteer Ocean Rescue. A graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Juliana has Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certification and holds CyberTracker Level III Track and Sign Certifications in New England, Long Island and South Africa. She has worked with Southampton Town’s Project Venture Program, leading student hiking and camping trips. After returning from a self-supported group bicycle tour in Europe, Juliana enjoyed leading peer groups backpacking in the Galiuro Wilderness in Arizona and sailing and sea kayaking in British Columbia. She also holds a certification in Permaculture Design and has a budding demonstration farm in Amagansett, NY.
